Professional Learning Networks
#PLNPST
This week I got to work on building my Personal Learning Network! Participating in my first twitter #PSTPLN, I got to see a lot of different inputs and perspectives. Some things that I learned included how some practicing teachers use technology in the classroom. I saw a lot of people suggesting flip grid (both practicing and not yet practicing teachers) and I learned was Ozobot is. I definitely think the experience enhanced the importance of creating a PLN and showed me how it can connect you to different resources and tools you wouldn’t otherwise come across. I definitely want to keep using this Twitter and reading what other people have to say. I noticed myself reading and thinking about more responses way beyond the required amount. My PLN is one I will keep building throughout school and my career.

PLN
Having a PLN (personal learning network) allows educators to communicate with one another, learn from others, share ideas, and reach out to others. It can be helpful for teachers to learn from other teachers. It helps keep teachers current as things like standards and curricula change
Twitter allows educators to reach out to more people than on a non-online platform. With an app like Twitter, I could be connected with experts instantly and be able to gather perspectives from people across the planet. That is not something that could be done before social media became a factor.
